What an incredible trip to Washington, D.C.! I had the privilege of leading a team as the Government Affairs Chair for the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science Wisconsin. We visited 11 congressional and senate offices to advocate for crucial legislation, including the Saving Access to Laboratory Services Act (SALSA), the VALID Act, and Congressman Ross' Lab Workforce Shortage Bill. It was an amazing experience to discuss the future of our profession and push for changes that will have a lasting impact on patient care. I would like to thank my collegue Clayton Fraker for all his hard work and enthusiasm. If you would like to get involved, message me, or visit stoplabcuts.org or the ASCLS website! #ascls #labvocate #governmentrelations #salsa
