It’s not simply a matter of whether your nonprofit is making money or not. Are you meeting end goals and fulfilling the vision of your mission? How do you know you are taking the right steps towards actual mission success? Without a strategic plan, it can be extremely challenging to answer these questions. To help you get started, we’ve broken down the main components of strategic planning below. ✔️ Clarify Your Mission: Revisit your mission statement to make sure it’s clear and inspiring. A strong mission unites your team around shared goals. ✔️ Assess Your Situation: Conduct a SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Understanding your current situation is crucial for effective planning. ✔️ Set SMART Goals: Define specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound goals. ✔️ Develop an Action Plan: Outline specific actions, resources, and timelines. Assign responsibilities to create accountability within your team. ✔️ Monitor and Adjust: Implement your plan and evaluate progress using performance metrics regularly. Be prepared to adapt as needed! Armed with the above knowledge and the drive to follow through, you and your nonprofit are on the path to achieving your nonprofit's mission and creating a substantial impact in the world. #nonprofit #strategicplan #strategy #fundraising #growth #goals #mission

We're so proud to have sponsored this incredible conference! Some of AmPhil's own—including Chris Kuetemeyer, Jeremy Beer, Jack Fowler, Kyle Vander Meulen, and Cecilia Diem—led fascinating discussions with experts on higher ed, covering what can and must be done to reform America's colleges and universities. Thanks to all who attended for joining in these important conversations!
Thanks to all who gathered for two days of fruitful, thought-provoking discussion and debate at this year’s Givers, Doers, & Thinkers Conference! We came away with a clearer picture of the state of higher ed in this nature, the need for reform, and the best means of meeting that need. Most importantly, we’re convinced that yes, higher education can be saved! We must now take what we’ve learned over the past two days and put it into action on campus.

Greater capacity = probable major donor, right? It’s easy to think that wealthy individuals are more likely to become #majordonors. However, capacity alone isn’t a sufficient indicator; the real key to identifying a donor who will upgrade is #donor engagement. After determining high-capacity prospects, shift your focus to their involvement. Are they opening emails, attending events, or volunteering? These actions are stronger signs than wealth alone. Here are a few steps to help you identify your top donor prospects:
