In Loving Memory of Amanda McAuley, we are on a mission to get to children before fentanyl does. With your help, we can educate and warn kids across America about the dangers of fentanyl. If they don’t know, they won’t say, “no.” It’s time for a wake up call. The rates of fatal overdoses due to the use of synthetic opioids such as fentanyl are rising every day. Our goal is to educate children and their families about the dangers of this fentanyl use, providing resources and raising awareness of important prevention and intervention strategies to fight addiction before it starts. Let’s wake up, get to work, and fight against this powerful and deadly drug.

Behind A.M.WakeUpCall is a grieving family. April 5th marked one year without Amanda. The year has brought on so many different emotions. It has broken us down and brought us together simultaneously. It has showed us how strong we are, yet how easily life can be taken from us. It has allowed us to make deeper connections as we share our pain and experience with the community, which led to learning just how much our community is struggling because of drugs like fentanyI. And all in all, it left us missing Amanda more than ever. To honor the one year anniversary of Amanda passing, our family took a trip to Nettles Island, FL where we often went for spring break as kids. It was a place so special to Amanda. While we were lighting lanterns on the beach in her memory, a group of girls stopped to ask what the occasion was. It turns out her dad had passed a few days prior and they were in Nettles to honor his life too, so they lit a lantern in his honor and we celebrated their lives together. For those of you who are hurting, whether it’s new pain or decades later, you’re not alone. We hear you and we feel you. We love you Amanda ♥️🏮
