📢 Università degli Studi 'Gabriele d'Annunzio' di Chieti, a partner of the ANALYST Project, recently attended the inaugural International Conference of the Hellenic Society for Circular Economy I Ελληνικός Σύνδεσμος Κυκλικής Οικονομίας (HSCE) in Chania, Crete. 📌 PROPLANET Project & ANALYST Project On 18 October, HOLOSS had the pleasure of organising the PROPLANET & ANALYST streaming event. HOLOSS is part of the consortium of PROPLANET project, which develops work in the fields of Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA), Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) and social engagement. ANALYST is also a project funded by Horizon Europe, coordinated by HOLOSS. It was presented important developments, such as:   PROPLANET Project: In 22 months, the SSbD structure was applied providing security and sustainable routes for the development of 3 innovative coatings.   ANALYST Project: In 10 months, a mapping of the current state of the SSbD framework and its developments in the literature and Horizon Europe projects was carried out.   #SSbD for industrial applications: CIRES, represented by Arnaldo Tomás, presented the industry's perspective, with a focus on PVC, on the SSbD structure and pointed out how it can help in the development of safe and sustainable PVC. #SSbD and sustainable development: Irantzu Garmendia provided information on the development of the framework and its links with the sustainable development goals. To foster the engagement and interaction with the audience, an interactive activity (Kahoot) and an open session of Q&A were promoted.   This event marks a key milestone in both projects. It was the first streaming event of ANALYST and the second of PROPLANET. 🧪 The ANALYST Project has been featured in the EUROTOX Congress 2024, held in Copenhagen from September 8th to 11th! Hosted by the Danish Society of Toxicology and Pharmacology, the congress provided a fantastic opportunity for toxicology experts to share insights and explore the latest advancements. 👩🔬 Our partner project, NILU, delivered a Continuing Education Course (CEC) on Adverse Outcome Pathways (AOPs) and presented key research through a poster session. AOPs are vital in understanding how molecular interactions can lead to health and environmental effects, supporting safer chemical development under the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) initiative. 💡 We are grateful for the chance to connect with a diverse community of researchers and professionals, and we look forward to future collaborations that will drive innovation and safety in chemical assessments.
