My teammates exude such kindness, intelligence, grace, and grit. When I (virtually) step into a room, I feel like I'm watching a masterclass on how to be a good human. In no small part, I chalk this phenomenon up to our mission. Andela's mission attracts people who want to do good work for the greater good. We're all here for the same purpose, to connect brilliance with opportunity so everyone wins.” Her personal passion? “I've fostered 8 dogs over the past two years, and I'm obsessed. Did you know that when you foster a dog, not only are you saving the life of the dog you take in, you're also freeing up space in the shelter so they can save another dog?” “I feel zaps of inspiration when I watch people create for the sake of creating -- like my friend's Instagram account with 63 followers that she reserves solely for doodling, or how a friend from college is getting into ceramics and is showing off a mug they just made, or how my 6 year old nephew is building these elaborate sculptures on Minecraft. Their art is beautiful and personal and imperfect, and that's what makes it meaningful. It reminds me that I don’t have to be ‘the best’ at everything I do (especially the things I love) in order to enjoy them. Born and raised in Brazil, it was remote work that truly changed my life—connecting me with opportunities in the U.S. before the rest of the world caught on to remote work's potential over 15 years ago.”     “It's more than a paycheck; it's the bridge that brought me to the U.S., where I live and thrive today. It's a personal and professional alignment that makes me proud to be part of the Andela team.”    What does Antonio like to do in his spare time? “My hobby is finding new hobbies. Over the years I have dabbled on many different things, and still go back to some them from time to time. I'm into 3D printing since 2015 and have more printers than I like to admit, woodworking (also more tools than probably needed), and lately have been investing a lot of time in my yard!”    We asked Antonio to share two truths and a lie.
