Anderson Perry designed and permitted the new Vernon Smith Bridge for our great client Columbia County. The new bridge design was led by Eric Zitterkopf, our Senior Bridge Engineer, and has been constructed. The final abutment of the old bridge needed to be removed. Our fish salvage experts, led by Senior Biologist, Sue Brady, PWS, safely isolated the work area, collected trapped fish, and transported them safely downstream prior to in-water work.

AP was proud to be a Silver Sponsor for the 46th Annual Union County Crops & Conservation Tour. We enjoyed hearing about sustainable oil production, noxious weeds, restoration projects, soil health, and of course – drones! We were happy to share an update about our ongoing work with @Union County and the Upper Grande Ronde River Watershed Place-Based Planning Partnership. Thanks to Walter Burt and @GSI for making it out here, and to @Darrin Walenta, @OSU extension office and the organizing committee for another wonderful tour.

AP is excited to share that Sue Brady has officially obtained the designation of Professional Wetland Scientist from the Society of Professional Wetland Scientists! This credential requires substantial course work in wetland sciences, as well as over 5 years of experience completing delineations. Sue has been working for AP the longest of anyone in the Natural Resources Division, and we appreciate her expertise, mentorship, and leadership in the biological sciences. Please join us in congratulating Sue on this huge personal accomplishment!
