The time has come to get serious about working your attendance strategies for filling the ballroom on event night with passionate supporters. #APTipTuesday – Is rain in the forecast for your outdoor event? Are you prepared with Plan B? As part of your planning for weather contingencies, it’s important to have clarity on the following:    1. Barring dangerous weather conditions, will your event happen outdoors on the scheduled date no matter what? 2. Are your organization and the event venue both open to a rain date? If so, identify that alternate date early on in your planning. 3. Is there the option to move your event indoors?    Be sure to include the weather contingency plan on your website and in other communications so everyone knows what to expect. Engaging younger donors as social media ambassadors to actively comment on and share the nonprofit’s posts. 5. Organizing service projects for young professionals to get hands-on volunteer experience connecting with the nonprofit’s mission. 6. #APTipTuesday – Since the main purpose of a name tag is to make it easy to identify attendees by name and facilitate networking, make the font size as large as reasonably possible, and put first and last names on separate lines.     ⭐Bonus tip: Purchase ribbons that can be affixed to the bottom of the name tags to identify categories of people at the event such as “Board Member,” “Staff,” and “Volunteer.” These identifiers can be helpful to your guests, and they don’t take up any additional real estate on the name tags.    #annplans #tiptuesday #nonprofit #nonprofiteventplanners #namebadges
