Exciting news from last week! Annenberg Learner’s partners, Step Up Tutoring and Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College (ASU MLFTC), attended the National Partnership for Student Success (NPSS) Hub Higher Education Summit in Washington, D.C. They were joined by Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona, White House Domestic Policy Advisor Neera Tanden, AmeriCorps CEO Michael D. Smith, and Deputy Secretary of Education Cindy Marten. We are thrilled to share that our coalition received the Collective Impact Award for our High-Impact Tutor Training Initiative! This recognition honors institutions that answer the call to action, sharing their expertise and collaborating to benefit the entire NPSS network. With support from Learner, our training resources feature 24 nanocourses available on ASU's Community Educator Learning Hub. https://lnkd.in/gDRdwsU2

Research from the National Library of Science indicates that increased cell phone ownership among children can contribute to stress, anxiety, sleep deprivation, and depression. This issue is addressed in the newly released Annenberg Learner’s Social Studies Curriculum, available on Learner.org. Middle and high school teachers seeking to understand social media's impact on mental health can download the free, comprehensive curriculum. It covers a variety of topics, including strategies to combat bullying, navigating beauty standards, coping with racism, and exploring sexuality. https://lnkd.in/gPu4qYeP
