Months after releasing the National Defense Industrial Strategy, the DoD has announced how it will implement it. The plan includes six initiatives to incentivize the development of a modernized, resilient defense industrial ecosystem.

Defense Innovation Unit (DIU)’s National OnRamp Strategy - to include DIU’s flagship offices, Defense Innovation OnRamp Hubs, and other regionally based efforts - exists to serve as a front door to the DoD, where academics, companies, entrepreneurs and investors can learn how to:  -enter the national security innovation base,  -access government programming and funding, and  -engage in national security events and opportunities. DIU is exploring leveraging a cooperative agreement to expand the types of activities to enhance strategic impact and to better optimize regionally driven efforts. The MOD is pleased to announce the publication of its sixth Acquisition Pipeline to industry, providing a forward look of future procurement activities over a minimum threshold of £2m across Defence. We hope that this will prove beneficial to all our suppliers seeking to plan for upcoming opportunities, including #SMEs. This will be the final publication of the Acquisition Pipeline in this format due to the launch of the Procurement Act 2023 (expected February 2025).
