Today I will join 24 other “Women in Business” winnners for an awards dinner. It is hard to describe how I feel. Honored, humbled and even a little proud and amazed that my journey led me here. Thank you Charlotte Business Journal for the recognition. Tonight the winners willl answer this question. ❓If you could offer advice to your 18-year-old self, what would you tell her? I thought about this a long time… not sure if my 18 year old self would take this advice (she thought she already knew it all 😆) but I would say this. 🗝️Trust your instincts, take calculated risks, and don’t be afraid to fail. ✨Every challenge is an opportunity to grow. Be grateful for it and see what you can learn from it. ❤️Know your worth, know that you deserve success, and know that you are valuable and that your voice truly matters. One person can make a difference — why not you?

💔 Feeling relieved and bittersweet. Excited for what’s next, yet sad to see this chapter close. When Ben Greenberg asked me to be the next Chair for the North Carolina Trucking Association Women In Trucking Council, I had no idea what I was stepping into. What I thought would be a big responsibility turned out to be more work than I imagined, but also one of the most REWARDING experiences in my journey. ✨ One of the highlights? Building an incredible community that put on a Summit that delivered! I loved hearing stories of how so many left educated, motivated, inspired to take on the world! (And hopefully with a new friend or two 😊) 💖 My heart is full and I am SO proud. 💖 👏A huge THANK YOU to my advisory board for volunteering your time and efforts to put on this event. On my way back home, while enjoying the beautiful sunset I had some time to reflect on my time at Manifest: The Future of Supply Chain & Logistics The explosion of AI and technology in logistics is accelerating at an incredible pace, and key players are stepping up to optimize supply chain processes like never before. While AI is enhancing efficiency, it’s also reinforcing the importance of human creativity and problem-solving. My biggest takeaways: ✔️ AI won’t replace people, it will empower them. ✔️The Power of Relationships – No matter how advanced the industry gets, the most valuable asset is still people ✔ Networking: This conference was the best event for business development. In a post-COVID world, face-to-face networking is more valuable than ever, and Manifest’s exponential growth proves that.
