Animal Policy Group is committed to serving clients as they navigate the world of pet policy.
About us
Too often companies and organizations approach animal policy challenges or opportunities in the silo of a narrow sector. Animal policy is dynamic, and often connects matters of nutrition, healthcare and animal welfare. Effective representation should collaborate across sectors and leverage relationships beyond each organization’s immediate sector. The Animal Policy Group is trained to work with firms to analyze, and then develop comprehensive or simple policy strategies, and the messages to communicate these viewpoints to parties of interest.

We want to honor the dedicated staff of animal shelters across the U.S. who provide a safe haven for approximately 8 million animals each year (USA Today). Their tireless efforts ensure that strays, injured, and neglected animals receive the care they desperately need. Join us in recognizing and appreciating the compassionate work these heroes do every day! #AnimalShelterAppreciationWeek #animalpolicygroup

Hot take: AI is a positive development and is here to stay. Technology’s growth in pet health care is crucial as the profession faces steep shortages of veterinarians and credentialed technicians. Technology can engage pet owners, lessen the burden on veterinary teams, and inform practices more precisely about the medical conditions of America’s cats and dogs. The recent VIS conference reinforced that guidelines, rather than prescriptive regulations, make the most sense for fostering AI improvements without stifling innovation. Fun Fact! Did you know that telehealth offers general advice on animal care, but it’s not the same as telemedicine, which is exclusively provided by a veterinarian for diagnoses and prescriptions! Comment "🙈" if you didn't know this #telemedicine #telehealth #veterinarian #vetmed #petcare
