During these unsettling times in the U.S., I’m so grateful for Partners in Diversity for continuing to create spaces for our communities to gather, reflect, build, and heal. Great event being with the Asian Pacific Islander community, reminding me the power of community and recommitting to DEIA work more than ever. Karamo Brown from Queer Eye captured it perfectly for me recently: “I want people to find common ground with me and with my communities. I’m TIRED of being curious about you and you NOT being curious about me. I’m exhausted by it. There’s so many people that I’ve reached out to across the aisles for many times. They haven’t reached back. It’s time for me to say, WHEN are you going to be curious about my life? When are YOU going to say, look what’s going on with families being torn apart, with people feeling scared. When are you going to say, well that’s enough! Because I already know that’s enough but it’s time for YOU to know that’s enough and while you’re figuring that out, I’m going to continue to build myself up, love myself, love the people who love me and us to figure out what to do next…” 🖤🤎 #DEIA #PartnersinDiversity #DiversityEquityInclusion #Community #StrongerTogether #SupportiveSpaces
