From the APIC Enterprise #infectioncontrol #healthcare #CDC #infectionprevention
Chief Executive Officer at Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC)
Good morning. I wanted to share APIC's statement regarding the gag order that threatens infection prevention and disease response efforts. The gag order restricts #CDC experts from proactively communicating with the media and the public, leading to delays in critical health alerts. Originally set to expire on February 1st, the order remains in place, leaving health professionals and the public in a dangerous state of uncertainty. It is time to remove these communication restrictions and restore access to critical data we need to keep our nation and world safe. #infectionprevention #infectioncontrol #healthcare Centers for Disease Control and Prevention U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Full statement available at: https://lnkd.in/e9tkDn2R
