This new study explored the potential of blood-based biomarkers for predicting early recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after radiofrequency ablation (RFA) treatment. Researchers used a minimally invasive approach, analyzing cell-free DNA (cfDNA) isolated from patient plasma using the Apostle Inc MiniMax cfDNA isolation kit. By examining specific mutations and methylation changes in cfDNA, the study aimed to identify a pre-RFA blood signature associated with HCC with metastatic traits.
