Today we’re celebrating two facilities and two brands for taking the next step in their sustainability journey by joining our latest Clean by Design cohort in Vietnam! Over the coming months, these facilities will partner with local experts at Enerteam to put efficiency-driven practices in place that not only benefit the environment but also have an average payback period of just 14 months. Our first Clean by Design Tanneries cohort just reached an important milestone - the factory visit - and our regional lead for Italy, Daniele, (pictured) was on-site at three of the facilities to observe and offer support. The factory visit is a key step in the Clean by Design program. It allows local experts to determine where a facility is in their decarbonization journey and what should be included in their action plan. While these facilities already had strong baselines, the experts and facilities identified even more innovative ways to improve - like electrification. ⚡ This is the first time these tanneries have worked on energy and water efficiency in a structured way, and they’re already off to a great start. We’re excited to work with them on this new path and can’t wait to share their outcomes.

Meet the newest members of our Climate Solutions Portfolio (CSP) ecosystem! Our latest grantees - Pozzi Leopoldo srl, Grant Thornton Bharat LLP, andAMPHICO - are changing the industry through heat recovery technology, friction-reducing lubricants, and revolutionary dyeing techniques. Combined, they’re set to reduce over 24,000 tCO2e in the first 12 months of their projects’ implementation. Each solution was carefully vetted by our CSP Advisory Council for its ability to tackle unique supply chain challenges, and its effectiveness, reach, and scale. In addition to funding, grantees receive independent validation and connections to brands, facilities, and investors through Aii’s network. Want to learn more about these innovators?
