This week some of our staff are attending the North Carolina Public Health Association Fall Conference in beautiful Cherokee, NC and are all smiles as we are learning and connecting with other public health professionals from across the state. Also, we were honored to have been nominated for an award for the STABLE Workplaces initiative that supports and equips Watauga County's evolving business community and employers with access to training and leadership resources. Last night, our very own Lindsey Sullivan, Health Strategist, was awarded the Elizabeth Young Award for Community Leadership at the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce's Spirit of Boone 75th Annual Membership Gathering. We are so proud of Lindsey, her leadership, passion and dedication to the health of our community. Way to go Lindsey!
