Where will she be next? Andrea Applegate 🍏will speak to CPAs and other professionals in the accounting industry at their annual Strategic Finance and Accounting Conference presented by The Ohio Society of CPAs. Her session is titled, "Increasing Morale and Workforce Tenure/Longevity in the Accounting Industry" and will cover the overall demographic shifts and workforce trends that drive worker attitudes and availability in 2024. Andrea wants these industry leaders to be armed with information so they can be more strategic in their thinking about what they need to do tactically to attract, retain, and engage their employees.

Another great session with Public Safety leaders as they learned how to conduct coaching sessions with their team members to clarify expectations. Clear is kind! Here were some takeaways they said they want to watch in themselves: - stop-- get ahold of yourself - listen--really - don't immediately solve-- probe for more understanding One leader gave another great feedback when he was role-playing as the employee receiving feedback. He said, "I'm not going to listen to this!" and stopped participating. He let the leader providing the coaching know that it felt like he was saying "My way or the highway!" and who would respond well to that? Looking forward to seeing how their coaching conversations go!
