Do you feel you should be getting more production on Hydrodemolition jobs? 🤔 Whenever a parameter — such as speed, indexing or width — is adjusted on Hydrodemolition robots, it affects production. Our machines display the production rate on every page, so you can see how changing a setting will impact that rate. #Aquajet #Hydrodemolition #Concrete #ConcreteRemoval #ConcreteRepair

Check out this awesome, unique Hydrodemolition project from Extreme Pressure Systems! With offices in Northern and Southern California, Extreme Pressure Systems, Inc. specializes in concrete surface prep and offers extensive #Hydrodemolition knowledge. They used their experience and the power of the Aqua Cutter 750V to recently complete a repair on the underside of a bridge in downtown Los Angeles. The repair was crucial for the long-term integrity of the structure after the underside was damaged by fire. The job: Remove approximately 22,000 square feet (2,044 square meters) of fire-damaged concrete at a depth of 2.5 inches (63.5 millimeters) on the underside of an Interstate 10 bridge with a targeted completion date of July 4. The equipment: Aqua Cutter 750V, two high-pressure pumps totaling 700 horsepower The results: The crew removed about 100 square feet (9.3 square meters) per hour with the 750V, using the machine’s tower to reach 21 feet to the bridge underside. They broke up the bridge bay into smaller sections, strategically removing them in a “hopscotch” pattern, splitting the removal areas in half and alternating sections to ensure the bridge remained sturdy enough to keep the interstate open to traffic. The bridge presented challenging angles which would have required manual removal in some areas, but they used the 750V’s shape function to cut in a polygon shape. Why Hydrodemolition: Hydrodemolition was the go-to method for this project due to its precision and ability to keep rebar intact. It also left behind a superior bonding surface to replace the old concrete with shotcrete. The vibration from jackhammers could have caused microfractures in the concrete and damaged the rebar. Great job, Mike Marin, Tommy Niemerow and the rest of the Extreme Pressure Systems team! #Aquajet #Hydrodemolition #Concrete #ConcreteRemoval #ConcreteRepair #BridgeRepair
