    On October 3, 2024, the U.S. and India signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at expanding and diversifying critical minerals supply chains. Announced at the 2024 US-India CEO Forum, this agreement brings together leaders from both nations to fortify supply chains for essential minerals crucial to semiconductors, electric vehicles, and clean energy solutions. Founded in 2005, the U.S.-India CEO Forum brings together business leaders from both countries to discuss key issues and strengthen economic ties. Aquatech’s Executive Chairman, Venkee Sharma, serves as Co-Chair of the Working Group on Energy, Water, and Environment at the forum and is a key contributor to the critical mineral’s partnership framework. With over seven years of active involvement, Venkee’s leadership in the forum highlights Aquatech’s steadfast commitment to driving sustainable solutions and strengthening U.S.-India commercial engagement.     We’re thrilled to announce our work on a groundbreaking project to deliver an end-to-end solution for all water management needs at Stegra's (formerly H2 Green Steel) flagship green steel plant in Boden, Sweden. The corporate Private to Private Partnership (PtPP) with Stegra and John Laing will design, build, finance, operate, and maintain the critical infrastructure required to run what will be the world’s first large-scale green steel plant. The plant, supplied and operated by Aquatech and financed by John Laing, allows Stegra to focus on developing its integrated green hydrogen, iron and steel plants. The comprehensive ‘water island’ solution encompasses treatments for ultra-pure water, wastewater recycling, zero liquid discharge, compact strip production mill scale, and water for cooling systems, ensuring a holistic water management system for the steel plant.
