Over the past three weeks, Aquatonomy's co-founder and COO, Xiaoyu Kaess, Ph.D., had the privilege of presenting our vision and work in three dynamic cities: Silicon Valley, Pittsburgh, and New York City. We are incredibly grateful for the enthusiasm and support from the entrepreneurship, deep tech, and investment communities. Our team is dedicated to advancing underwater autonomy, revolutionizing how data is collected in complex underwater environments. This innovation is set to transform the inspection and monitoring of assets in challenging and hazardous underwater settings. We are making strides toward a safer, more efficient future! Big thank you to Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship, Carnegie Mellon University, and Innovation Works for the opportunities.

Congratulations to #IWPortfolio companies Aquatonomy and D.Sole for being selected for VentureBridge '24! Aquatonomy's solution transforms ROVs into autonomous underwater robots for data collection in any visibility, drastically reducing cost, increasing efficiency, and improving safety by carrying out tasks independently in dangerous situations or by providing visibility into the environment for dive planning. D.Sole offers a remote patient-monitoring foot insole that provides clinicians with data-driven insights into their patient’s feet so they can intervene at the right time with the right treatments. Their approach reduces foot complications by an estimated 93% and the costs to insurers by an estimated $8 billion annually.
