Arcellx is thrilled to welcome 26 interns to our Summer Intern Program! These talented individuals work across several departments within our California and Maryland-based offices. Our intern program is designed to allow students to explore careers while bringing fresh perspectives and energy to the Arcellx team. The program will feature professional development workshops, career conversations with our leadership, and several fun team-building events!   Today, we’re spotlighting Madelyn Drews, who is interning with the People team at the Maryland office. Madelyn supports us with organizing events and on-site facility management, building our Safety program, and strengthening our charitable relationships with local community colleges. Juneteenth represents a significant day in American history - marking the end of slavery on June 19, 1865. While this holiday has long been celebrated among African American communities in the U.S., it wasn’t recognized as a federal holiday until 2021. Juneteenth is a day of celebration, but there remains a profound amount of continued work we, as a Country, must be willing to acknowledge and address regarding the continued racial social biases and injustices that exist against brown people.
