It was a great pleasure and honor to be selected by Architectural Woodwork Institute (#AWI) as the sole destination in #Egypt for their #global outreach tour. On October 7th, 2024, we were privileged to host the esteemed institutional delegation composed of Mr. Randy Lange, Chair of the #AWI Board of Directors, and Mr. Doug Hague, #AWI Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hunter Morrison, #AWI Technical Director. After extending a warm #welcome to our distinguished guests, and a review of the company history and products provided, we highlighted how #AWI’s invaluable resources—including the standards, publications, and other various tools—have positively influenced our woodwork processes, delighting our customers and enriching their investments. This was illustrated through #key #projects we have contributed to, such as the St. Regis New Administrative Capital, Terminal Two of Borg Al-Arab Airport, and a special focus on the St. Regis Cairo. The visit provided an #excellent #opportunity for in-depth discussions on #standards, #industry #advancements, #culture, and the #future of architectural #woodwork. A special gift from #AWI—a copy of the #ANSI / #AWI #Standards with a special dedication—was presented to us in #recognition of our small contribution to the #development of #woodwork #standards. This thoughtful #gesture was deeply appreciated, further enriching our #intangible #assets. Words cannot fully express our #gratitude for #AWI’s selection of our company for this #significant visit, their efforts in traveling to #Egypt especially, and the #invaluable gift. The visit marks a remarkable #milestone in our eventful journey, emphasizing the importance of international #collaboration and the #global impact of AWI. We look forward to continued fruitful engagement and strong relationships with AWI. As echoed in the final slide of our presentation, “Our story with AWI continues.” We wish AWI continued success in advancing the global woodwork industry and a safe journey for the #global outreach delegation in their next destinations.

So you may or may not know that before becoming AWI CEO, Doug Hague was a faculty member at Pittsburg State University. And he once had a student named Abhinav Tewari. Well that student is now a graduate and owner of his own furniture business in India! Our Global Outreach Tour paid him a visit!
