Our Agency will be hosting a Senior Forum for seniors aged 60 and older and their caregivers in St. Lucie County. Generously sponsored by Florida Power & Light, the event will connect seniors and their caregivers to various resources, including energy assistance, home and community-based services, Medicare/Medicaid assistance, and more. Come out for our Multi-Agency Falls Prevention Fair next Tuesday and next Thursday with Delray Medical Center, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, Delray Beach Fire Rescue, The City of Riviera Beach Fire Rescue, West Palm Beach Fire Department, and Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue. Tuesday's fair will be in Boca Raton. Thursday's fair will be in West Palm Beach. We look forward to seeing you there!

November 1st through the 30th is National Family Caregivers Month. Caregiving in the United States is on the rise with about 100 million U.S. adults providing care for children, parents, spouses, and/or relatives. In the U.S., familial caregivers are the primary source of support for older adults with disabilities. This month, we will be highlighting information relating to #caregivers, #caregiving, and the services available to help lighten the load! The photo below contains some quick facts about caregivers. One shocking fact is that nearly two-thirds of caregivers don’t know about the valuable Area Agencies on Aging! Our Agency is one of 11 agencies in the state of #Florida. We are here to help and serve seniors and caregivers of seniors in Martin, Palm Beach, St. Lucie, Okeechobee, and Indian River Counties. Our #Helpline can connect caregivers and #seniors with a variety of resources, including respite care, transportation services, adult day care, and more! You can reach them by calling (866) 684-5885.
