Earlier this month, Arete proudly participated in Exercise Northern Strike 24-2 at the National All-Domain Warfighting Center in Michigan. We demonstrated our Advanced Image-Based Monitoring System (AIMS) at one of the largest joint training exercises in the U.S. AIMS detects casualties and then remotely detects measures their heart and respiration rate, greatly enhancing medics’ triage and transport capabilities. Northern Strike enabled our team to assist medical triage and evacuation missions from a tactical UAS and mounted in Field Litter Ambulances. We even experimented on a C-130 Aircraft during a mass casualty exercise. We greatly appreciate the positive and helpful crucial soldier feedback. This first-principles-of-physics approach has been a hallmark of Areté’s development programs for the past 40 years Areté now works across the electromagnetic spectrum. We develop sensors and the associated signal processing algorithms necessary for the extraction and interpretation of data for systems operating under water, in the atmosphere, and in space. With our emphasis on enhanced signal processing and real-time executable software, Areté is able to improve the performance of existing sensor systems at fractions of the cost and time to operations of replacement systems. We work directly with customers and partners seeking maximum performance. Building on our expertise in detection theory we will continue to exploit the contextual, spatial, spectral, and temporal characteristics of data, incorporating them into our signal processing algorithms. These robust algorithms will continue to enable Areté to rapidly deliver innovative solutions to the ever evolving challenges of our customers.

Arete has been awarded a $12 million Small Business Innovation Research Phase 2 contract to develop advanced Machine Learning Algorithms for Target Detection on the Coastal Battlefield Reconnaissance (COBRA) System. In collaboration with the Office of Naval Research, we will create context-adaptive algorithms that enhance COBRA's ability to detect objects in new, unseen environments, while also optimizing existing algorithms for greater accuracy.
