Engineering and Forensic Sciences - Bringing Facts to Light
About us
Áreté Forensics, PLLC was started in April 2006 as Professional Engineering and Inspection Services, PLLC. Áreté (pronounced Ah - Rah - Tay) resulted from moving our company more towards forensic engineering, where we use our decades of engineering design, analysis, and forensic knowledge and experience to bring the facts to light. Our engineers are very experienced in structural engineering, mechanical engineering, building envelope issues, stucco issues, construction defect analysis, accident reconstruction, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, product liability, general physics, civil engineering, water issues, water infiltration, evaluating storm damage, and many other facets of forensic sciences. We love to be challenged and will take on the difficult issues that others fear. Bring us your most complicated cases and we will discover the facts and present them to you in an easy-to-understand format. We are gifted at making the complex appear simple.

Our forensic engineers are local to Florida and experience hurricanes first hand. Our partner, Paul D. Tucker, SE, PE, DFE, FRSE, CXLT, caught this footage during Hurricane Ian. We stand ready to help you weather the storm after the storm.
As Hurricane Helene approaches Florida, the team of forensic engineers at Arete Forensics is ready to conduct building damage assessments post-storm. With mobile units spanning the state, the team is prepared to deliver swift cause and origin damage evaluations for insurance purposes. Our experienced testifying experts are poised to support their assessments in court as needed. Living and working in Florida, the team understands Hurricanes, wave versus wind damage, flood assessments, and has comprehensive experience in seawall evaluation. I took this video standing on my front patio. It is my neighbor’s roof being damaged by the winds of Hurricane Ian. We will help you weather the storm after the storm! #HurricaneHelene #ForensicEngineering #FloridaPreparedness #InsuranceClaims

We would like to recognize our Partner, Paul D. Tucker, SE, PE, DFE , for his contributions to Linkedin and becoming a LinkedIn “Top Structural Engineering Voice.” Paul’s breadth of knowledge in structural engineering and engineering business is helpful to our clients and other engineers. Paul has the true heart of a teacher and has always had a compulsion to share his knowledge with other engineers. Paul was able to help mold a generation of young engineers when he was an instructor at The University of Tennessee in tye Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering from 2012 until 2019, when he moved to Florida. Congratulations, Paul. #structuralengineering #nafe #forensicsengineering #metalbuildings #steelconstruction #construction #expertwitness #linkedin #theuniversityoftennessee
