Argo Translation Service Day 2024 🌍 Our incredible team once again came together to make a positive impact around the world for Argo Translation Service Day! From book donations to food packing, here are just a few highlights from the day: • Paula contributed to the Escuelita Ladrillera project in Paraná, collecting books to support community education. These books are already enriching the lives of local residents, fostering a love for learning and inclusion. • Adriana gathered donations of clothes and bed linens from friends and neighbors, which she donated to a community wardrobe and a night shelter for the homeless, providing essential items to those in need. • Geoff enjoyed his time at the Fort Collins Rescue Mission, cutting watermelon and supporting their efforts to feed the community. • Audrey volunteered at Franciscan Peacemakers, assembling toiletry bags and cleaning the center, making a meaningful difference for marginalized women in need. • Amy harvested fresh produce at the town community garden, picking cucumbers, squash, and more to share with neighbors. • HQ teamed up at Feed My Starving Children, packing meals to help fight hunger. Our team made a significant contribution this year, and we couldn’t be prouder! • Kimberly, Kati, and Alejandra transcribed historic documents for the Library of Congress, combining their passion for language and history to help preserve valuable records. We are so thankful for our global team’s commitment to giving back. Learn more about how we’re helping our communities: https://bit.ly/3PDcOLC

However, Samsung’s recent Galaxy AI commercial highlights a major challenge with out-of-the-box AI translation—understanding cultural context and slang. As Patrick points out, any English speaker would understand the phrase “Can I kick it?” to mean “Can I play?” yet AI translation often misses these subtle nuances. So, what’s the key takeaway? As AI translation technology continues to evolve, recognizing its limitations is important.
