$ASCU.TO has come a long way since acquiring the #pastproducing Sacaton Mine. #Exploration has played a key role in scaling the #copper #MRE to 7.3B lbs M&I and 3.8B lbs inferred. Douglas Bowden and Anthony Bottrill, pictured here with ASCU's first confirmatory drill hole, have been key members scaling up the Cactus Project. ASCU continues drilling to upgrade the MainSpring property (Parks/Salyer) up to the indicated category, in addition to drilling out the primary sulphide opportunity around the Cactus West open pit.

The Cactus substation was built for ASARCO operations in the 80's. The substation is built near the geology buildings and directly connects to the Arizona Public Service - APS power lines, allowing Cactus to draw up to 100% #nuclear energy. Power access is one example of how Cactus maintains first quartile capital intensity. #infrastructure #lowcapitalintensity #copper #Arizona #porphyry #openpit #AZmining
