I’ve joined an amicus brief in support of Virginia’s right to remove non-citizens from its voter rolls ahead of the upcoming election. The Biden-Harris administration’s efforts to prevent Virginia from implementing its own law—a law utilized by governors of both parties—are nothing more than a crass election-eve effort that instills confusion in the voting process. #ElectionIntegrity is a top priority for me. We must protect our elections from all threats, whether they are instances of individual bad actors or government officials trying to unlawfully game the system. https://lnkd.in/gFJSkCXE #arnews

#Fentanyl is a scourge on our society, and it disproportionately impacts our young people. #OnePillCanKill is a multifaceted initiative to help protect college students from the risk of #opioid overdose. This initiative will be statewide, but we are starting at the University of Arkansas campus here in Fayetteville. I am extremely grateful for the cooperation and support of Chancellor Charles Robinson and university staff. The training and resources offered by the One Pill Can Kill initiative will save lives. https://lnkd.in/g36dbwJK #arnews #arleg

My office has arrested Victoria Smith-Williams of Conway on one count of Medicaid fraud, a Class B felony. Working as a dental assistant while concurrently billing the state Medicaid program for the same hours worked is an affront to the hardworking taxpayers of our state. I will continue fighting against this type of fraud and holding people accountable for trying to take advantage of the state. tinyurl.com/3t343axh #arnews

I got the chance to stop in Searcy today and visit with some guys who are working hard to overcome some challenges with the help of @John 3:16 Ministries, one of many faith-based organizations in Arkansas that is offering hope and healing to the people who most need it. It was truly a blessing to spend a few minutes with these men and see what the Lord is doing in their lives. #arnews

I had the pleasure this morning to visit Nettleton Junior High School in Jonesboro to address its LEADS Academy. Nettleton students will complete a leadership training course, take coursework focused on one of three career exploration pathways (STEM, Health Professions, or Multimedia), complete community service hours, and spend one day per week on the campus of Arkansas State for learning extension opportunities. I’m looking forward to seeing how these future leaders make their own personal impact! #arnews

I am moving my Consumer Utility Rate Advocacy Division (CURAD) under the leadership of Deputy Attorney General Doralee Chandler, who leads my State Agencies Division. Given CURAD’s consistent interaction with state regulatory bodies, this move makes sense and will make our team more efficient and more effective in advocating for Arkansas’s ratepayers. I am also pleased to announce two promotions in my office. Christine Cryer is being promoted to Deputy Attorney General over my Public Protection Division, and Senior Assistant Attorney General Jordan Broyles will move into the leadership role that Deputy AG Cryer previously held as Chief of the Special Litigation Section in my Civil Litigation Division. These changes will strengthen our office, increase our efficiency, and improve our ability to serve the people of Arkansas. https://lnkd.in/giRXPSdE #arnews

I appreciate the opportunity to speak with the Arkansas Hospitality Association this morning at The Capital Hotel regarding my efforts to combat #humantrafficking in Arkansas. Our hospitality industry is a vital partner in this important fight. #arnews

I joined with South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson and 23 other state attorneys general in a letter to Columbia University about the rise of antisemitism on its campus. In spite of antisemitic protests on its campus, Columbia has held the line against the boycott, divest, and sanction (BDS) movement and should be commended for it. We urge them to continue this position while balancing student speech rights. https://lnkd.in/gxQwzmxg #arnews

Had the pleasure of meeting with Errin Stanger and Pulaski County Judge Barry Hyde at the Providence Park Homes model tiny home in North Little Rock to learn more about their efforts to help the chronically homeless in central Arkansas. Their project will create 400 tiny homes with full support services in a safe and supportive environment. I applaud Errin and Judge Hyde for taking action! Learn more at providenceparkhome.com #arnews
