We’re fully charged and excited to announce that we’ve reached practical completion on the new Critical Services Building at the Canberra Hospital Expansion project, delivering the first fully electric hospital building in Australia 🔋 🏥 The newly delivered eight-level Critical Services Building provides 45,000 square metres of purpose-built healthcare space, including a new Emergency Department, expanded Intensive Care Unit and Perioperative Services. With a focus on reducing embodied carbon, the project team prioritised sustainable construction by using electrified cranes, locally sourcing a low-carbon concrete mix for the structure, and repurposing or salvaging 96 per cent of the materials during the demolition of the previous buildings. We are incredibly proud of the team for achieving this significant milestone, reinforcing our healthcare capability as we continue to progress more than $5 billion in health projects across Australia. #builttooutperform #constructabetterfuture 📷: Tom Roe
