🚀 From 26th to 27th of June, members of ARMETISS consortium, European Defence Agency and Defence Ministries gathered for the ARMETISS project kick-off in Oscarborg fortress, in the Oslo fjord in Norway. 🛡️ ARMETISS ambition is to unlock the potential of smart textiles for personal protection equipment through their integration into state-of-the-art soldier systems. The consortium will work both on cost-effective and environmentally sound solutions, to provide Europe with a distinct commercial advantage in the production of defence clothing and equipment. The excellence of ARMETISS soldier system lies in its flexibility, which is the result of the modular concept where any number of its elements can be worn (or not) without reducing any performance. Selected under the European Defence Fund (EDF 2022), the project encompasses major actors in soldier equipment, smart textiles and system integrators. In total, it brings together 20 structures from 7 EU countries and Norway coordinated by NFM Group : Rheinmetall - Safran - AITEX - APPLYCON s. r. o. - CITEVE - ENSAIT - Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Industries Textiles - FFI - INEGI driving science & innovation - Jonathan & Fletcher - Larimart S.p.A. - Leonardo Company - Mokka - Clim8 - SINTEF - TECHTERA - Chamatex - Fraunhofer IZM - Hexonia GmbH - AQ-Tech | Ingénierie_multidisciplinaire Subscribe to our page to stay updated on our progress and innovations!
