Duties May Include: 💠 Operate a variety of state-of-the art equipment for the scanning and electronic submission of criminal fingerprint cards to the FBI’s Next Generation Identification System. 💠 Utilize specialized software to capture Personally Identifiable Information from fingerprint cards and scanned fingerprint images.Conduct criminal history name checks for the FBI National Crime Information Center (NICS) Section and 13 states. 💠 Liaison with Federal Agencies such as the U.S. Marshal Service National Sex Offender Targeting Center and state, territory, and tribal sex offender registries. 💠 Research and extract relevant information from various sources for applicable criminal justice information reporting. The defendant hid all the firearms inside blue barrels underneath rice and household goods and with assistance from an Army chief warrant officer smuggled the barrels out of the Port of Baltimore on a container ship to the Port of Tema in Ghana. The Ghana Revenue Authority recovered the firearms and reported the seizure to the DEA attaché in Ghana and the ATF Baltimore Field Division. #ArmyCID, ATF, U.S. Department of Commerce’s Office of Export Enforcement investigated the case. The U.S. Department of Justice announced its participation in a multinational operation involving actions in the United States, Romania, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Greece to disrupt and take down the infrastructure of the online cybercrime marketplaces known as Cracked and Nulled. The operation was announced in conjunction with Operation Talent, a multinational law enforcement operation supported by Europol to investigate Cracked and Nulled. CID's Carolinas Field Office Receives Charlotte Federal Partnership Award Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division Carolinas Field Office received a Charlotte Federal Partnership Award from Homeland Security Investigations Charlotte on Jan. 17. Special Agent in Charge Cardell T. Morant, with HSI Charlotte, presented Army CID’s Carolinas Field Office with the Charlotte Federal Partnership Award for outstanding contributions to the HSI mission over the past year. “We’re thankful for HSI and all our law enforcement partners as we stay ahead of the threat and maintain the operational readiness of the Army,” said Special Agent in Charge Alfred M. Diaz, Army CID Carolinas Field Office. “CID works closely with local, state and federal partners to combat criminal threats directed at the Army.” The peer-nominated award is voted on by a panel of supervisors and presented as a testament to work conducted this year in partnership with HSI to make communities safer.
