For over 2 years, I envisioned the AROSE Money Talks Scholarship Summit as an opportunity for HS students & their parents to be educated in Minimizing Student Debt, Scholarship Opportunities, & Financial Literacy. Much different from your typical college fair, we created an intimate space where students received resources and pivotal knowledge on how to prepare and properly fund their futures. The day was filled with teachings on how to pay for college, financial literacy and planning, personal branding, life at an HBCU, and college alternatives. Over $𝟏𝟔,𝟎𝟎𝟎 in scholarships were awarded on-site to future students; immediately aiding them in their future! Special thanks to University of Chicago Charter School, the AROSE team, partners, volunteers, Chic Chef Catering, and our speakers: Brianna Membres Christopher Crater Christopher C. Money Talks, Money Talks! 💸 On Saturday, November 18th, the AROSE Foundation will be hosting our FIRST EVER Money Talks Scholarship Summit. 🤩 This event is exclusively for Chicago HS Juniors, Seniors, and Parents and will be located at the University of Chicago Charter - Woodlawn (6300 S University Ave.) From 9:00am - 3:00pm, the Money Talks Scholarship Summit will walk you through a youth-tailored experience on how to position and prepare students to competitively pursue scholarship opportunities for their post-secondary endeavors. 🤎 We are eagerly counting down the days and hope to see you there! 😉 Drop a “💸” in the comments for more information!
