This project is for El Centro and currently under construction. It consisted of a demolition of the existing police facility before the new facility was built. The design for the new 44,478 SF police station is two stories consisting of a public lobby, a community meeting/multipurpose space, offices for administration, investigators, records and patrol related functions. The ground floor of the police support building will house property and evidence, k-9, the fingerprint lab and various police support and storage functions. The second floor will be constructed as a shell space to be eventually used to house an indoor police firearms range.

Our AW Emerging Professionals toured Ninyo and Moore's geotechnical lab at their Phoenix office. They learned a lot about the different varieties of geotechnical and materials they test in house, the methods used and the people behind the scenes. Our young professionals also explored the inside of their cement and concrete reference laboratory storage space. Thank you so much for taking the time to give AW an informative tour. If you haven't been to their lab yet, it's definitely worth seeing!

October 7th was World Architecture Day! Arrington Watkins and LSW had the honor of presenting to Empower College Prep High School students at our office this month. We provided them a tour of our office and gave them a look at what an architect does for a day. The theme of architecture day is to empower the next generation for our future in development. Thank you LSW for joining us in teaching the next generation how architects and engineers work closely together to achieve development.

In September, we had the honor of participating in Gilbert's Staff Appreciation Lunch with EDS Management and Core. During the lunch, employees could come up to our poster stations and learn about their new fuel facility project for the Town of Gilbert's fleet vehicles. This was a great way for the Gilbert employees to explore the details of the project, a chance to ask questions and give their feedback. We enjoyed meeting everyone there. Gilbert really takes care of their employees and we are happy to be designing this project for them.
