We have 12 Board Certified Rheumatologists and 2 Advanced Practice Providers who specialize in the treatment of inflammatory arthritis, mixed connective tissue and auto-immune diseases, as well as other rheumatologic conditions. On Friday October 18th, Sarasota Arthritis Center employees volunteered at Satchel’s Last Resort from 10am-12pm. Satchel’s Last Resort prides themselves on rehabilitating animals of trauma, abandonment, neglect or abuse amongst other things. These animals are never euthanized and have a forever home at Satchel’s Last Resort, but the hope is that every animal gets adopted! Employees split up into a few different crews to help around the resort after Hurricane Milton’s destruction. One crew in the Catio with the felines, one in the pet Memorial Garden clearing land and cleaning headstones & another spraying & clearing the paths of trees, limbs or debris for the dog walking and obstacle paths. Thank you to all who attended this rewarding volunteer event, I think we were the ones rewarded doggie love & kisses!
