Artificial Sky is addressing a growing health issue embedded in present-day lifestyles: our lack of natural daylight exposure. Majority of people spend up to 90% of their time indoors causing anxiety, mania, carb cravings, high blood pressure, and more detrimental effects, this Advanced Human Centric Lighting (AHCL) technology is designed to replicate the natural daylight spectrum and look exactly like a real skylight to the human eye, significantly improving indoor environments and promoting well-being and overall health. #healthcaredesign #architecture #lightingdesign

Check out our round LED skylights going into a new pediatrician’s office in both the waiting rooms and treatment rooms. The mind is a powerful healing tool. Using our imagination, we can visualize almost anything. Guided imagery (or visualization) is a therapeutic technique that has been used for centuries. By creating images in the mind, a person can reduce pain, stress and other symptoms associated with his or her condition. The more specific the visualization, the more therapeutic it will likely be. We can produce round skylights up to 6 feet in diameter! While doctors and scientists struggle to find a cure for dementia, there is something all assisted living centers can install to help combat the effects of it. Artificial Sky is no longer futuristic, but becoming commonplace in healthcare environments, especially ALZ, Dementia and Memory Care facilities. Did you know there is a part of the brain called Amygdala, which holds your emotional memory and is often not affected by dementia at all. This means that even if someone can’t remember what activity they took part in, the feeling of wellbeing and the emotional feeling can remain with them for a long time. It’s tempting to think it’s not worth going to the effort of taking someone with dementia outside because they will just forget it has happened. However, research shows it becomes much more about how something makes us feel. If we can’t remember the activity, the ‘feel good factor’ may continue to make a person feel content well after the event. #seniorlivingdesign #memorycare #healthcaredesign #architecture #elderlycare #dementia #alzheimers #health #wellness #socialisolation #mentalhealth #nature #daylightharvesting #interiordesign

In spaces designed for the elderly, Artificial Sky helps to reduce social isolation by creating an environment residents enjoy communicably. Spaces with good, natural light help reduce falls, increase socialization, and stimulates positive physical and mental health. The elimination of glare is also essential, as it can lead to agitation and headaches to the sensitive, aging eye. Only Artificial Sky offers a true solution to combat the effects of Alzheimer’s, dementia and sundowners syndrome for memory care spaces. #seniorliving #memorycare #interiordesign #seniorlivingdesign #healthcaredesign #architecture #agetech #dementiacare #socialisolation #assistedliving https://lnkd.in/e5X8jd5Q Brookdale Genesis Healthcare System Atria Senior Living Five Star Senior Living HCR ManorCare Holiday Retirement Evangelical Lutheran Good Sunrise Senior Living Life Care Centers of America Pacifica Senior Living The Ensign Group, L.C.
