Your business can benefit from tapping into the multifaceted power of the arts. While the list of benefits is as expansive as your imagination, we've highlighted three key areas where engaging with the arts can make an impact. Number 3: Build Community The arts are essential to developing a vibrant and diverse community where people want to live, work, shop, visit, and contribute. A dynamic and healthy arts sector fuels the economy, fosters social cohesion, and cultivates empathy. Economy: Eugene’s arts and culture sector creates jobs, boosts local businesses, and supports the long-term health of our economy. Spending by arts organizations and their audiences ripples through the community, benefiting everyone. Social Cohesion: Arts participation reduces isolation, encourages cooperation, and builds community networks. It fosters a shared vision and brings people together, strengthening social bonds. Empathy & Understanding: The arts enhance cross-cultural understanding, promote dialogue, and create a common ground to celebrate diversity and pursue equity. Partnering with the arts helps your employees, company, and community better understand diverse cultures and ideas, and contributes to building an inclusive workforce.
