An initiative under the Defence Industry Development Strategy, #ASCA_Aus pitch days ensure #YourADF remains aware of new capabilities and innovations, and provides an opportunity for collaboration across the defence innovation ecosystem. #ASCA_Aus is thrilled to announce the 2024 Pitch Day Presentation Finalists - Silicon Quantum Computing, Deloitte, Breaker, Cytophenix, University of South Australia Hosted at #ADSTAR, 24 participants pitched their ideas to Defence and were judged on their ability to provide asymmetric advantage, innovation to Defence and presentation style. Stage 2 of the Pitch Day evaluation will now commence, with the potential for successful entities to be offered development contracts worth up to $750,000. Defence Australia and Anduril Industries have entered into a co-funded early works contract for the #ghostshark program which will provide the Royal Australian Navy with a long-range autonomous vehicle that will deliver a cost-effective, persistent intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and strike undersea capability. Head of #ASCA_Aus, Professor Emily Hilder noted how Ghost Shark is a powerful example of how ASCA can help accelerate capability to our warfighters, bringing together parts of the Defence enterprise as well as Anduril Australia, to help deliver an asymmetric advantage.
