Work-related stress in the construction industry can severely impact mental health and, without support, can lead to suicide. Construction workers are four times more likely to die by suicide than the general population. Remember to: • Encourage open discussions about mental health. • Share resources and support services. • Promote work-life balance. • Provide training on recognizing signs of mental health issues. • Get trained through the VitalCog Suicide Prevention for Construction awareness training. • Check if your company offers resources through their Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Good housekeeping is crucial in concrete construction for maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Did you know that poor housekeeping contributes to about 25% of workplace accidents? Key Statistics: • Slips, trips, and falls account for 15% of all accidental deaths, second only to motor vehicles. • Effective housekeeping can reduce these accidents by up to 60%.
