Established in 1934, the South Carolina Section represents about 1,400 members throughout South Carolina as well as the Columbia, Richmond and Lincoln counties in Georgia. The Section is comprises six Branches around the state and Student Chapters at Clemson, University of South Carolina, and Citadel. We also support numerous Younger Members through groups at the local branches. We are committed to promoting, encouraging and recognizing civil engineering excellence and professional growth. The South Carolina Section supports several conferences including the South Carolina Engineering Conference. The Branches of the South Carolina Section hold monthly meetings, often with guest speakers and topical discussions. In 2020, our branches often used free virtual meetings to stay in contact with our members and provide opportunities for technical growth.
