After 38 years with ASM, we said farewell to John Fraser as President of ASM Research. After proudly serving in the U.S. Army, John began his career at ASM in 1986 as the thirteenth employee. Throughout the years, he created great memories with so many of us at ASM. Together we navigated challenges, celebrated achievements, and upheld a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and delivering on our clients’ missions. On January 29, we honored John with a farewell breakfast at ASM’s Fairfax headquarters where we enjoyed listening to our colleagues’ sentiments about working with John throughout the years. While we will miss him very much, we wish John the very best in his new chapter where he plans to travel with his wife and spend more time with their kids and their families. Congratulations, John!

February marks the celebration of Black History Month! When the first #BlackHistoryMonth was honored in 1976, President Gerald Ford called upon the nation to “seize the opportunity to honor the too-often neglected accomplishments of Black Americans in every area of endeavor throughout our history.” The theme for this year’s month-long celebration is African Americans and Labor, which focuses on the various and profound ways that work and working of all kinds intersect with the collective experiences of Black people. At ASM Research, we believe the power of our workforce is fueled by its diversity, and we encourage everyone to participate in this celebration that honors the accomplishments of African Americans throughout American history.

For the January Third Thursday Together event at ASM’s Fairfax Headquarters, employees enjoyed an Italian themed lunch, a Mario Kart competition, and prizes for the three lucky winners. It was a great way to welcome some of the new Cognosante (now ASM) employees to the team. We had great attendance and loved seeing so many people in person! We can’t wait to see everyone next month!

“Since I was 14, I knew I wanted to go into the military and serve my country.” – Leslie Chenoweth Leslie was stationed at Guantanamo Bay during the Haitian crisis in 1991. While there she started a school and helped the chaplain with on-base church services. Leslie is part of a tightknit Veteran community that often attends events together. On November 7, ASM held its second Employee Milestone Anniversary Celebration of the year in San Antonio! Similar to our celebration for Fairfax honorees in August, this event recognized 2024 honorees in the San Antonio area who reached 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 years of service at ASM. The team enjoyed a catered lunch, photo booth and ASM swag. Congratulations to all our 2024 honorees and thank you for your contributions to ASM! #EmployeeMilestoneCelebration #ASMResearch

Happy Veterans Day! At ASM, many of our employees self-identify as veterans and bring a unique set of skills, discipline, and spirit of teamwork that is deeply woven into our company culture. Their commitment to service not only enriches our work, but also strengthens the values we hold as a team. We are proud to celebrate Veterans Day as a reminder of the incredible contributions veterans make to our society and our workplace. 

ASM teamed up with our Accenture colleagues for a Day of Service on Monday, October 14, in the Washington, DC, metro area. Employees volunteered to create home and hygiene packs for underserved families; clean and organize common areas at shelters for people experiencing homelessness; and paint fences and clean fields at a therapeutic riding center, among many other activities. On Sunday, September 22, ASM employees and their families in the Western New York area attended the Buffalo Bisons Baseball game for the second year in a row! Employees from various projects in the area attended and had a wonderful evening. #ASMResearch #BuffaloBisons
