Within my weekly blog, I've decided to start a series of articles that will cover different types of fees, expenses, and commissions that consumers are likely to see when working with various types of advisors. I decided to do this because of two interactions I had this week with potential new clients. The first client was interviewing new advisors because although they were o.k. with paying a fee for advice, they felt as if they weren't actually getting the advice part of the relationship. and The second client didn't have a working advisory relationship and was unsure of what she was paying for her investments and why her investments were designed the way that they are. Both are examples of real-life situations that many advisors run into ALL. THE. TIME. I'm hoping that this series of articles can help to educate and inform. The first article in the series is the Assets Under Management model or AUM, the model that charges you a percentage of your assets on an annual basis. https://lnkd.in/gv24q-Di

We've been fortunate this year, but the market can often get volatile ahead of a presidential election. Lots of cash can either enter the market or leave the market out of fear of what may happen. Below is an article on my thoughts regarding the election... but most importantly, have a plan and stick to it! https://lnkd.in/g-giptRS

I wrote this week's blog article as a companion to last week's YouTube video on falling interest rates. In the article, I provide both pros and cons to falling interest rates in relation to the over market. I go even further by providing specific examples for how each one can affect your financial plan and investment portfolio. If you have questions about your specific financial situation, please reach out! I'm happy to help! https://lnkd.in/giH5k2SH

This article is the result of reading a lot of misinformation on a recent finance blog so I thought it would be nice to have an easy to understand blog post on how to calculate your estimated capitals gains for the year. https://lnkd.in/gcbhnt9a

Short article on the taxation of RSUs. There's a huge misconception that RSUs will be heavily taxed if they're sold on their vesting date when in fact, employers keep a portion of your shares for tax withholding. https://lnkd.in/d-pyzwc2

Today's video is a continuation of last week's video where I discuss having an emergency fund and considering the risk of being either too conservative or too risky. I piggyback by articulating the compound benefit of both investing your cash and the effect of saving (even small amounts) every month.

All advisors agree that you should have an emergency fund, but have you considered the risks of over-funding your rainy day account? Today's video covers common rules and 4 items to consider when asking yourself "How much should I have in my emergency fund?" https://lnkd.in/gp7kH_Xu
