Cybersecurity Awareness Month highlights the importance of protecting digital information. Throughout October, ASRC Federal is sharing ways to stay safe online with tips from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). 𝟑 𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐬: 🔍 Recognize the common signs - urgent or emotionally appealing language, unexpected attachments, requests for personal or financial information, untrusted shortened URLs, and email addresses that do not match the supposed sender. 🚫 Resist and report - report the messages by using the “report spam” feature on the app and if the sender is from a trusted organization, alert them by referring to their contact information found on their website. 🗑️ Delete - do not reply to the message or click on the link or attachment; this includes the unsubscribe button. Just delete the message. Remember: if a message looks suspicious, it’s probably phishing. These are great practices to implement to protect your online information! #ASRCFederal #StaySafeOnline #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth
