Empowering communities against energy poverty through training and support for vulnerable groups and local policymakers.

About us

Funded by the LIFE Programme, ASSERT is a pioneering project, employing renewable energy solutions to tackle energy poverty in a manner unprecedented in its scope. The consortium engages municipalities, associations, and individuals in a collaborative effort to transform community energy practices. ASSERT's specialized training programs empower policymakers, energy advisors, and frontline workers, enabling them to provide robust support to households most vulnerable to energy poverty, including those with physical disabilities. ASSERT is committed to enhancing digital and energy literacy among communities, particularly for households with limited digital access, to foster active participation in the energy transition. Through personalized mentorship and the integration of energy poverty considerations into broader policy frameworks, ASSERT advocates for an inclusive and sustainable energy future. This strategic approach not only addresses immediate challenges but also cultivates long-term systemic change in community energy management.
