This year, The Well at the BMU prioritized inclusivity through the additional of the first ablution area on California State University, Chico's campus. Creating a Prayer and Reflection Space to support student success was a top priority for us. The ablution area is a dedicated space equipped with facilities for performing ablution (wudu) before prayer. The Well's Prayer and Reflection space is a unique space, providing prayer mats and prayer beads for students to utilize while in The Well. Come by to learn more.

Look out, Chico State! It's not even August yet, and these Wildcats are hard at work repping us at the Cal State Student Association plenary meeting with the Chancellor's Office. Can't wait to see what these 'cats do this academic year supporting students.
Grateful to have started the year at my first Cal State Student Association conference at the California State University, Office of the Chancellor, where I had the privilege of joining AS President Chris Sullivan in representing California State University, Chico. The conference was a blend of hands-on leadership development, intense deliberations, and networking with other inspiring student leaders across the CSU System. As a new and incoming commissioner with Associated Students of CSU, Chico, navigating these spaces was initially daunting, but the warm and engaging atmosphere truly made a difference. I urge staff and faculty to continue advocating for student voices and fostering engagement within our communities. To Chico State students look forward to being part of committees this fall, such as the Social Justice and Equity Committee and the Student Engagement and Advocacy Committee, among others. Let's work together to create inclusive spaces where every voice is heard and valued. Thanks to AS, CSSA, and Chico State for this incredible opportunity!
