National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is an annual celebration of the hard work and dedication of professional truck drivers in the United States. Truck drivers are essential to the economy, delivering goods safely and on time. Nearly every aspect of daily life is made possible because a truck driver delivered the goods and resources people need. This is an important time to pay respect and thank all of our AWG truck drivers and partner company truck drivers for their hard work and commitment in undertaking one of our economy's most demanding and important jobs. Each year, 1 in 6 Americans experiences foodborne illness. Food recalls are issued regularly to protect public health, often due to undeclared allergens or harmful bacteria. Protect Yourself and Others with These 4 Simple Steps: Clean: Wash hands and surfaces often. Separate: Keep raw meats away from other foods. Cook: Ensure foods reach the right temperature. Chill: Refrigerate promptly. Allergens are a major concern too. Even trace amounts can cause severe reactions. Remember to: Read labels carefully. Avoid cross-contamination.
