The long-awaited Final Rules for the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA) were published in September. These rules clarify existing regulations and set new guidelines for non-quantitative treatment limitation (NQTL) comparative analyses. Employers, especially those with self-funded plans, should start preparing now to ensure compliance by the 2025 and 2026 deadlines.
