What No One Tells You About College Sports: 1️⃣ You Won’t Be The Star Anymore In high school, you might have been the go-to player. But in college, everyone around you was “the star” at some point. Humility is key, and so is confidence. The results you’re used to might not come as quickly because the competition is fierce, and everyone’s good. And when you go pro, the jump happens all over again. 2️⃣ College Sports Are a Business With NIL deals and transfer portals, the game has changed. It's all about performance now. If you’re not delivering, there’s someone else who will. Gone are the days when you have time to ease in and develop. From day one, you need to be ready to compete. That’s how the real world works, and college sports are no different. Ready for the challenge? 💪 #athletezero #mindset #collegeathletics #sportsperformance #competition #eliteathletes #athletenutrition #discipline #collegesports #collegerecruiting #NCAA #D1

Myths About Developing an Elite Mindset: Many athletes struggle to unlock their full potential because they fall into common traps when trying to develop an elite mindset. The Simplest Way to Shop for Healthy Groceries: Many athletes tell us how overwhelming it can be to buy the right foods. They walk into the grocery store, faced with endless choices, and don't know where to start. Here’s the easiest method: Choose 3 for each category: 🍳 | Protein (e.g., eggs, salmon, chicken) 🥔 | Carbs (e.g., whole fruits, potatoes, rice) 🥦 | Fiber (e.g., broccoli, asparagus, arugula) 🥑 | Fats (e.g., olive oil, avocados, nuts) Then, mix and match to create simple, nutritious meals: 1️⃣ Breakfast: Eggs & greens omelette with fruit, roasted potatoes, and avocado 2️⃣ Lunch: Salmon and walnut rice bowl with asparagus 3️⃣ Dinner: Chicken salad on arugula with peaches and olive oil Now you don’t have any excuses for not eating healthy! INJURIES START WHILE EATING ⬇️ 🤕 After intense training or a match, athletes' bodies release free radicals that trigger inflammation. Eating refined starches and processed foods will worsen this inflammation, increasing the risk of injuries. But there’s good news!! Foods rich in antioxidants and Omega-3s will help your body repair tissue and speed up recovery! Instead of reaching for: 🚫 Cookies, white bread, or fried foods—which fuel inflammation, ✅ Opt for anti-inflammatory foods like nuts, quinoa, or broccoli to reduce the risk of injury. Swap out refined starches and processed foods to keep injuries and inflammation at bay! 💪 #sportsnutrition #injuryprevention #injury #nutrition #athletezero #mentalcoaching #athlete0 #sportspsychology #mentalhealth #collegerecruiting #athlete

You can program your mind through #selftalk!! 🗣🧑💻 🥇#GabbyThomas won the Olympic gold medal in the women’s 200m at the #ParisOlympics. In the days following her incredible achievement, she shared that she used self-talk as a tool to help her reach her dream. Many people overlook the power of self-talk, often engaging in negative self-talk without realizing it. Our brains work like a strainer—if we constantly fill them with negative thoughts, we start believing them. This can be incredibly dangerous, but there is also a great advantage: we can use self-talk in a positive way. By consistently speaking to ourselves in a positive manner, we can start believing in things that may not be true yet, but will become true because of our belief. Gabby Thomas used positive self-talk to win her #goldmedal, and you can use it to achieve your dreams, too. In fact, we are going to do it right now: “Athlete Zero will help over 1 million American athletes become the best versions of themselves through non-sport-specific training.” Now it’s your turn! What positive statement will you program your mind with today? #mentalcoaching #selftalk #nutrition #athletezero #athlete0 #sportsnutrition #olympicgames #selfbelief

What Should I Eat the Night Before a Competition?🥇🧐 Fueling your body properly before a big game or competition is crucial for peak performance. Here’s a simple breakdown of how to balance your plate: 🍚 50-60% Carbohydrates: are your main source of energy for high-intensity activity. Filling half of your plate with carbs like pasta, rice, or potatoes ensures your glycogen stores are fully replenished, giving you the stamina to perform at your best from start to finish. 🐟 25-30% Protein: is essential for muscle repair and recovery. Including lean proteins such as chicken, fish, or tofu in your meal helps your muscles recover overnight, so you wake up feeling strong and ready to compete. 🥦 10-20% Vegetables: provide essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that help reduce inflammation and support overall energy levels. They keep your body balanced and ready to handle the physical demands of the competition. Your meal the night before is your power-up for the next day. Eat smart, compete hard! 💪 #nutrition #sportsnutrition #athletezero #athlete0 #mealforcompetition

LeBron has a cheat code. 🤯 A few weeks ago, during the 2024 Olympics basketball final between the #USA and #France, #LeBronJames was seen meditating right before the game. This moment wasn’t just about pre-game rituals; it highlighted a critical aspect of LeBron’s success—his commitment to mental strength. LeBron has often spoken about the importance of #mentalcoaching: "As an athlete, there's a lot of focus on physical fitness. It's (Mental Coaching) something I've always prioritized, and it's just as important to my game, my career, and my life than anything I do physically. The ability to focus and calibrate everything going inside your mind is a skill that can be strengthened over time. Meditation offers numerous benefits, including: 1️⃣ Increased attention 2️⃣ Reduced injury rates and quicker recovery 3️⃣ Enhanced well-being and decreased depressive symptoms 4️⃣ Reduced hostility While some athletes may hesitate to engage in deep breathing exercises or meditation, especially in the presence of others, it's essential for coaches to encourage these techniques and emphasize their benefits. #MentalCoaching #MentalStrength #AthleteMindset #Meditation #LeBronJames #AthleteZero #Athlete0 #SportsPsycology

You can eat your way to winning a championship! (No, we are not talking about eating your opponents). 🥇 The foods we eat impact our #brainpower and #mood - and that can be the key to winning a championship. Here are four tips to #boost your performance: 🐟 Eat plenty of omega-3 fatty acids, found in foods like salmon, tuna, chia seeds or walnuts. 🌾 Choose high-fiber foods to support a healthy gut-brain axis, like legumes, whole grains, and seeds. 🥗 Get a colorful mix of fruit and veg every day to guarantee a diverse range of antioxidants. 🍟 Eat less processed foods like french fries, soda, and sugary breakfast cereals. #nutrition #sports #athletes #mentalcoaching #sportsnutrition #sportspsycology #athletezero #athlete0 #mentaltoughness

"DON'T THINK OF A PINK ELEPHANT!" 🐘 Seriously, don’t do it. See? You couldn’t help but picture it. That’s because your brain doesn’t understand "don’t." Instead of focusing on what they shouldn’t do, great athletes focus on what they should do. Here’s how to turn negative commands into positive actions: 🚫 "Don't miss" ✅ "Aim for the center" 🚫 "Don't drop the ball" ✅ "Catch the ball firmly" 🚫 "Don't get distracted" ✅ "Keep your eyes on the ball" This principle isn’t just for immediate actions; it’s also crucial for goal setting. Provide your brain with clear, positive instructions so it knows exactly what to do. Now that you understand this, #donot make this mistake again. #nutrition #sports #athletes #mentalcoaching #sportsnutrition #sportspsycology #athletezero #athlete0 #positivethinking #goalsetting #deepfocus
