Fostering greatness beyond sports: AOT cultivates discipline, teamwork, and leadership for youth development.

About us

Founded in 2009 by visionary leaders Omar Cooper and Damon Wilson, Athletes of Tomorrow (AOT) has rapidly emerged as a transformative force in the Atlanta, Georgia metropolitan area. At the core of AOT is the belief in using basketball not just as a sport, but as a powerful vehicle for academic and personal development. Our mission is deeply rooted in providing young athletes, especially those overlooked and underserved, with the opportunities they need to excel both on the court and in their academic pursuits. In the heart of Atlanta, a dynamic movement has unfolded, quietly yet powerfully, since 2009. Athletes of Tomorrow (AOT), spearheaded by founders Omar Cooper and Damon Wilson, serves as a cornerstone of youth development through sports in the metropolitan area. "AOT was created to give kids a chance," reflects Omar Cooper. From grassroots beginnings to becoming a powerhouse on the Nike EYBL circuit, AOT consistently offers athletes a platform to hone their skills, gain exposure, and secure collegiate scholarships. Our ethos of individualized development and mentorship forms the bedrock of AOT. We're deeply committed to supporting families from vibrant yet often underserved communities within the Atlanta metropolitan area, especially those from inner-city neighborhoods. AOT stands as a beacon of hope and resilience, aiming to level the playing field by providing exceptional basketball training alongside comprehensive academic support. With over 60% of our families classified as low-income, we understand the economic challenges exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the generous contributions of donors and the dedicated efforts of our staff, AOT continues to champion education, sports, and unity. We're not just a program; we're a community united in creating a brighter future for our youth, where every child has the opportunity to excel and thrive.
