I'm thrilled to announce that I recently started a new position as Industrial Design Director at Athlon Studio, working with Head of Design, and design legend, Tucker Viemeister. Athlon has a strong background in UX, UI, & Research, and we'll be building out the new Industrial Design discipline. We're going to be reinventing ID consulting with an 'embedded' approach - a blend between typical design firms and in-house designers which should help solve a lot of the traditional issues with design consulting. The company motto 'happiness is good business' is personally very compelling. The idea is that happy employees & happy customers improve retention, and improve the bottom line. I'm excited to bring more happiness to the world. Amazon's JustWalkOut tech comes to #healthcare
If you’ve used our Just Walk Out technology at an airport, grocery/convenience store, stadium, or university campus, you know how great it is to skip the lines and simply walk out without waiting around to pay. Now, we’re bringing this technology to hospitals with a new innovation called “badge pay” that lets doctors, nurses, and other health care workers quickly grab food and drinks at all hours by just scanning their employee badge. Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia, will be the first U.S. hospital with a Just Walk Out technology store and badge pay capability. Should be a big help to hospital staff, who don't carry their wallets and phones while on the job and are often working overnight when most hospital cafeterias and stores are closed.

This is the wildest gadget I've seen in ages It's a mobile devices that doesn't have any apps It's powered with AI and you can do things like order a taxi or edit a document by speaking to it directly It's called the R1 by Rabbit and here's why it's so cool: • In addition to a touchscreen, it also has a scrolling wheel and a moving camera • The camera can do some crazy things like edit documents and generate recipes if you point it at things • Most fascinatingly, a “teach rabbit“ functionality will let you train the device to do tasks on their behalf, like creating and editing new documents and sending them to people Also cool that it's only $199 and doesn't need a subscription.
