    Vote Early. Vote Local. At this point we all know the stakes of Tuesday's election. You have until Friday (November 1st) to vote early, and then you can vote next Tuesday (November 5th). Be don't forget to research all of the races and issues down the ballot. They affect your day-to-day life more than the Presidential election. Finally, please get your family and friends to vote. You'll meet a wide cross-section of those in the tech industry facilitated by our dope hosts, who are great at bringing you into the fold. Meet Maria Jordan, the General Manager at Cortland with a passion for leadership and community building. As an #AtlantaBlackTech dinner host and event planner, Maria knows how to bring people together.     Our monthly dinner series stands on business because our hosts are the business! Meet one of our newer hosts, Sequoyah Glenn, MBA. She is a dynamic marketer known for her data-driven approach and innovative campaigns, earning her the nickname "DataBae." With over a decade of experience in the marketing industry, she’s been part of some of the most exciting advertising strategies while also consulting small businesses on business development and market strategy. Beyond her work as the Principal Consultant at 924 CoOperative, Sequoyah is dedicated to building spaces for connection and growth. She’s the founder of National Black Marketers Day (11/16), which celebrates Black professionals in marketing, and a board member of AMA Atlanta, where she helps foster meaningful connections within the marketing community. She also created the Black Marketers Coalition to provide support and opportunities for Black marketers and is an active participant in CultureMRx In addition to her consulting work, Sequoyah shares her expertise as a speaker, contributing to industry events and promoting collaboration.  When she’s not leading marketing initiatives, Sequoyah enjoys volunteering, hiking, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Her blend of passion for strategy, community-building, and personal enrichment makes her a force for positive impact in both her professional and personal life. We're so glad to have her on the team!

    We’re excited to announce Raeshawn Pelote as the new Program Lead for Atlanta Black Tech! Raeshawn brings a unique blend of experience as the co-founder of 1888 Ventures, where he has syndicated and invested in a range of founders, with a growing passion for healthcare innovation. Before his entrepreneurial journey, Raeshawn worked as a Scientist at Quest Diagnostics, and later co-founded ImaginEd Tech, a marketplace reselling educational technology to K-12 and higher-ed institutions. Fun fact: Raeshawn was once a participant in our accelerator and pitched at our Demo Day. Last year, he joined Goodie Nation as our Investor Relations Fellow, where he helped expand our pre-seed and seed investor network. In addition to his contributions to our ecosystem, Raeshawn is an active member of Emerging 100 of Atlanta and is deeply committed to serving the community.
